Description: Horicon National Wildlife Refuge, also locally called Horicon Marsh, near Waupun, Wisconsin, at over 32,000 acres in size, is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States. This large marsh plays host to many resident and migrating birds throughout the spring, summer and fall months, as well as year-round resident mammals. Landscape images abound in this open area.
